Old Town, Puerto Vallarta

We found a cheap hotel in the old part of town and lived ashore when Wings was in the boat yard. Our hotel was clean but sparse, definately 1 star!

Wings-In Puerto Vallarta, 1998

Getting a bottom job in Puerto Vallarta, Wings' shows the sleek shape that makes it such a damn fine sailboat. Not everyone would agree, but we've sailed on lots of boats, and this is one of the best, if not the best ocean sailing vessel we've come across. It's easy to sail and fast, and a very comfortable ride.

Saga

Robbie & Michele, more sailors from Seattle, depart Puerto Vallarta on Saga. I sailed many miles on this great Peterson race boat when Joann Erickson owned it in Seattle...but that's another story.

Isla Isabela, Mexico

Isla Isabela is known for its birdlife, not its anchorage. It looks nice but everyone has problems here with anchor grabbing rocky bottom and lack of all weather protection.
