Silver Fox in San Diego

When arrived at Margie's house in San Diego and on the roof of the neighbor's garage we saw this rare Silver Fox.(shot taken through the window screen)

Actually what you're seeing here, from what I can tell, is a grey fox. It could also be a darker swift fox, but based on the location a grey fox is much more likely.

Silver foxes, which are a color variation of red foxes, are not only typically colored in the pointed style, akin to a Siamese cat, but have a much larger, taller body style, with a thicker skull and muzzle and different fur textures.

Still a FANTASTIC walking shot, but of a grey fox - not a silver one. :)
